The Logan Link Industrial Estate is a large industrial estate in Berrinba, close to the Logan Motorway. Construction of the site included extensive earthworks and retaining structures, new signalised intersections built to Department of Transport and Main Road specifications and complex service works, including a piled bridging structure for water and sewer trunk mains.

SEE Civil completed the civil and earthworks for the site in September 2012. The site was formed into seven large commercial and industrial blocks, the largest of which is now occupied by Toll Logistics.

Scope of Works

  • Clearing and grubbing of the 40 hectare site
  • Construction of approximately 700 metres of internal, heavy duty pavements
  • Around 220,000 cubic metres of cut to fill operations with material ranging from CBR1 to CBR15
  • Design and construction of an 1,800 square metre retaining wall up to 5.5 metres highs, manufactured using SEE Civil's bespoke Rock Block product
  • Installation of more than 1 kilometre of drainage infrastructure including pre-cast box culverts
  • Constructions of permanent bio filtration basins
  • Installation of a 315 mm diametre sewer up to 6 metres deep
  • Upgrade works and construction of three new signalised intersections on a Department of Transport State Controlled Road. This included works under live traffic and night works
  • Placement of deep lift asphalt pavements on motorway on and off ramps
