Yamba Roundabouts project entails the installation of three (3) roundabouts on Yamba Road in Yamba, New South Wales.

Yamba Road serves as a crucial local artery, facilitating entry to both the Pacific Motorway (M1) and the heart of Yamba town.

These roundabouts have been strategically placed at the intersections of Treelands Drive, Carrs Drive, and Shores Drive.

Project Scope

  • Demolition works to existing structures, pavements and services.
  • Clearing and grubbing.
  • General and detailed earthworks.
  • Pavements:
    • Sand subgrade treatments (Acid Sulfate Soils, saturated and unsaturated).
    • Unbound gravel pavements.
    • Bitumen and asphalting works.
    • Steel fibre reinforced concrete basecourse.
  • Construction of stormwater drainage network.
  • Electrical commissioning including street lighting, low-voltage underground and over-head connections, and high-voltage over-head connections.
  • Construction of medians, kerbing, and streetscaping.
  • Property adjustment works.
  • Local road remediation works.
  • Landscaping.
  • Community engagement.
  • Traffic management and controls for working near live traffic.

Program

Despite challenging weather conditions and persistent traffic congestion, SEE Civil successfully completed the Yamba Roundabouts project on behalf of Clarence Valley Council. This accomplishment was achieved nearly five months ahead of the scheduled completion date.

Safety

Safety is a major focus for SEE Civil on the project. The project achieved zero lost time injuries.
