  • closure of Maclean Street and Casuarina Road access from the Mount Lindesay Highway.
Key Construction Elements

The South Maclean project included the upgrade of Mount Lindesay Highway intersections at Stockleigh Road and Crest Road.

The scope of work involved the installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic signals, and the intricate traffic management plans to ensure that the Mount Lindesay Highway and Stockleigh Road remained opened to traffic throughout construction.

Temporary road and pavement construction methods were employed to facilitate traffic management required for the successful completion of this project while minimising disruptions to the existing road network.

The upgrade featured the construction of heavy-duty asphalt pavements with bound base and subbase materials, deep lift asphalt applications, and unbound pavement construction techniques.
