  • 25,000 square metres of heavily bound pavement.

Key Construction Elements

  • Demolition of a 2-span bridge. At the commencement of the project a 2-span concrete bridge needed to be demolished. Through extensive planning and collaboration with stakeholders the project team were able to demolish the bridge safety, with minimal impact on the environment and ahead of program.
  • The project required a change to the traffic staging. As a result of an embankment not settling as modelled. The project team were able to change the traffic staging sequence, complete one section on a 24/7 roster and deliver the major milestone of traffic over the Harwood bridge prior to Christmas.
  • Duplication and construction of a 5.5km dual carriageway for a section of the Pacific Highway upgrade project. The scope also included a major intersection, on and off ramps and a roundabout.
  • Removal of existing highway, lime stabilisation of the subgrade, SMZ and verge placement and construction of the open drain network.
