The Family Business Award recognises long standing family owned and operated businesses that have seen generations of family continue and grow their business legacy.
SEE Group was established by brothers Brian and Bruce Turner in 1988, and we were thrilled to be named the annual winner of the prestigious Family Business Award in front of a crowd of 600 business and political leaders at the 2024 Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards gala. SEE Group is now owned by a second generation of the Turner family and has six family members working in the different arms of the operation.

Businesses must demonstrate their achievements in key areas of excellence over the past 12 months. To be eligible, companies must have been trading for at least 24 months and have 21 or more employees.

The Excellence in Trade, Construction & Manufacturing Award recognises a business that demonstrates outstanding achievements in their field and has made a significant contribution to the local economy.
This category is open to businesses providing services in architecture, design, engineering, construction including builders, electricians, plumbers, tilers etc, automotive repairs, transport, logistics, distribution and manufacturing of products.
The CCF Earth Awards are the most prestigious awards in civil infrastructure which includes roads, bridges, railways, marine structures, and utilities that are the economic veins and arteries linking the Australian community.
The CCF Earth Awards have the specific aim of recognising outstanding work in construction and environmental excellence which reflects development and use of the best technologies and practices by Australian civil contractors. Each office of the CCF conducts state/ territory Earth Awards, with local winners progressing to the National Earth Awards. The Earth Awards are designed to highlight excellence in the following areas:
SEE Civil was awarded the only ‘Highly Commended’ at the awards, with special mention of our collaboration – whereby it was said “…the collaboration of the project, [the judges] felt that what the project team demonstrated was a project team that most project teams should aspire to”.
