CURRENT

SEE Civil was awarded another Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) contract for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) South Coast under a cost reimbursable model. These works were awarded exclusively under a preferred contractor arrangement.

Early Tender Involvement and award resulted from SEE Civils’ excellent relationship with DTMR and performance on the First Response Emergency Works (FREW) Tamborine Mountain Road project. The works are spread across multiple sites and are scheduled to be completed within 12 months.

The purpose of this project is reconstruction works for an assortment of sites across the South Coast network following natural disaster damage associated with the 2022 DRFA event.

The site locations are spread out across the following locations:

  • Mount Lindsay Highway – Rathdowney
  • Beaudesert – Boonah Rd – Beaudesert
  • Tamborine Mountain Rd – Tamborine
  • Currumbin Creek Rd – Currumbin and Tomewin
  • Nerang Murwillumbah Road
  • Rosewood – Warrill View

The specific work involves culvert and headwall replacement, embankment and pavement repairs, sealing and asphalting, slope stability utilising soil nails and gabion baskets, and scour protection.

All sites require traffic design and guidance scheme development, flora and fauna inspections and community notification periods prior to construction works.
