[PROJECTS]
The Maclean Cut project was a component of the Pacific Highway Upgrade, spanning from Woolgoolga to Ballina. It entailed the construction of a 4.5-kilometer northbound alignment between Maclean and the Yamba interchange in northern New South Wales, running parallel to the existing Pacific Highway.
This project was divided into three distinct segments, which included the northbound sections of the new Pacific Highway at Maclean Cut, the northbound portions of the new Pacific Highway at Farlows Flat, and a material preloading section at the Yamba Interchange, situated south of the new Harwood Bridge.
The SEE Civil team embraced and implemented the Clients Next Gear safety system. The project was completed with zero LTI’s and no major incidents. The project implemented safety initiatives such as:
A key innovative safety measure implemented on the project was the use of an Integrated Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS), using GPS to warn haulage trucks of the presence of school buses.
