The project involves the construction of 40 rural acreage allotments, the full reconstruction of Spring Valley Road into a sealed road, the installation of multicell box culverts, and the addition of rock armour to the existing waterway passage, providing a new access point to both Spring Valley Road and the newly developed section of the Spring Mountain estate.

Key Construction Elements

  • Much of the site is hard rock with deep earthworks cuts requiring extensive ripping and rock breaking.
  • The site cuts the only possible access for several residents on Spring Valley Road. Maintaining alternate access at all times is required and has posed challenges with a waterway bordering one side and private property bordering the opposite side of the site. Furthermore, the site has a significant gradient adding further challenges to maintaining resident access.
  • The large multicell RCBC and link slab structure being constructed is within a high impact waterway.
