The Tweed Shire LGA experienced significant weather damage causing landslips as a result of extreme weather experienced in early 2022.

SEE Civil were appointed to undertake the design and construct of the landslip sites at the following locations: Reserve Creek Road, Tyalgum Road and Limpinwood Site A and B.

Project Scope

  • Design development from 30% to 100% whilst expediting a temporary design for temporary retention of the existing slope. Works designed to 100 year design life.
  • Engage specialist subcontractors for rope access, soil nailing and shotcreting work.
  • Implement Temporary Retention to existing slope and provide temporary through traffic lane including imported pavement gravels, temporary seal and traffic control devices including traffic barriers for road user and worker safety.
  • Rectify downslope and upslope failure.
  • Reinstate a suitable pavement to meet design requirements including road furniture and barrier guardrail where required.
  • Reinstate Landscaping and temporary access tracks.
